Tips for Hiring a Contractor After a Natural Disaster
To My Fellow IAQA Members:
This has proven to be a challenging year when it comes to mother nature and the weather. We have been hit by historic Hurricane Harvey and are now looking at the Florida landfall of Hurricane Irma. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by Hurricane Harvey and all those that prepare for Irma’s landfall. To help those recovering from and preparing for the storms, IAQA has developed a consumer information guide for hiring restoration contractors.
After any natural disaster, consumers need to be wary of fly-by-night operators seeking to take advantage of water damage victims. IAQA recommends that consumers use the following Tips for Hiring a Contractor After a Natural Disaster to qualify any contractors.
These tips includes links to help consumers find reputable restoration industry professionals, the standards that a reputable restoration professional should follow, and warning signs of questionable practices that restoration companies may use to prey on the unfortunate, ill-informed consumer in their vulnerable time of need.
The IAQA family of industry professionals is here to help in any way we can. For more information please contact us via phone at (844) 802-4103, email Info@IAQA.org or visit our website.
Be strong, Be safe.
