Candidate’s Goals for IAQA Board:

I would enjoy the opportunity to contribute to IAQA at the board level. I have been an active participant in IAQA for many years but look forward to the opportunity to improve the organization. Two goals I currently have are to improve the communications and consistency of IAQA events and committees. As a participant in the legislative affairs committee, I noted that communications and meeting consistency was an issue. I would work to clarify committee objectives, establish specific protocols for meeting and communication, and set actionable goals with timelines for the committee. With COVID-19, effective communications are more relevant and necessary than ever. IAQA has an opportunity to contribute and lead as the country grapples with the pandemic, and we need solid leadership to do so. I would also look to expand and diversify the IAQA membership so that we continue to attract highly qualified members from across the country. We want to stay relevant for the various communities we serve, and we need to think about how we can continue meeting the needs of our membership. I would like to survey existing members about their needs and how IAQA can be more valuable resource to them. This would improve our outreach to potential members.
